Over the next two years, we are going to strategically expand and multiply our disciple-making efforts in and through The Gathering family, accelerate the vision in the process, and begin to experience much more of the regional breakthrough god is calling us to. This two-year vision initiative includes three key focuses…

1.
BREAKTHROUGH FOR OUR CHURCH

Our plan includes new leadership development initiatives, multiplying Neighborhood Gatherings, launching ALPHA (discipleship for unchurched and new believers), and offering marriage equipping and Financial Peace University through The Gathering for our region.

In addition, we plan to restore the front exteriors of The Fox Theatre and Building 522 according to our overall renovation plan. We aim to make our church home an inspiring and attractive place to gather, while continuing
to support and lead further downtown revitalization.

2.
BREAKTHROUGH FOR OUR CITY

We’re going to greatly increase our investment in, outreach to and physical presence on 6th Street to see the hearts and homes of our neighborhood renewed by Jesus. Specifically, we’ll develop a 6th Street outreach team, provide focused landscape and sidewalk renewal, and build a new home to house Neighborhood Gatherings and block-wide ministry opportunities, while using it to inspire greater, long term neighborhood transformation.

3.
BREAKTHROUGH FOR OUR REGION & BEYOND

Our regional strategy consists of launching a rural church network to provide encouragement, equipping and support to pastors and churches in the smaller communities surrounding us. In addition, we’ll develop a team equipped to do pop-up church in various regional locations on Sunday mornings while The Gathering simultaneously meets in The Fox – the purpose includes further evangelism, future campus scouting, and opportunities to support churches in the rural network. Beyond our region, we’ll increase our national and international missional giving and provide new mission trip opportunities for The Gathering family.

WHY ARE WE PURSUING
THIS VISION NOW?

If you can begin to see how a vision like this will make a difference in our region, then surely it’s because you’re already aware that a difference desperately needs to be made. All around us, there are people, towns, neighborhoods, marriages and kids that desperately need Jesus, while the brokenness our communities face is growing exponentially worse, fast. If left unchecked, what will the spiritual landscape of our region look like just 10 years from now? Finally, if followers of Jesus don’t do what must be done now, then who else will? Who else can?

WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO SEE
THIS VISION COME TO PASS?

We’re convinced we can see this vision come to pass if we’ll all take steps to trust God in ways that many of us never have before. If we’ll simply allow God to stretch the faith we already have, and then unite and direct our newly stretched faith toward taking the Breakthrough steps God is calling us to take now, then we believe He will make a way through His people to see this vision accelerate, so much more of our region can be reborn.

100% Engagement

Our goal is for every person who calls The Gathering home to engage in Breakthrough, and, as they do so, experience their own personal breakthroughs, as they discover and take steps to grow in their ability to be generous. Whether you’re a first-time giver, an occasional giver, or even an extravgant giver, God has breakthrough steps He’s calling you to take in this season. If 100% of the The Gathering family fully engaged, we believe God will provide every resource we need to accelerate the vision and see so much more of Our Region Reborn.

Our secondary goal is that we’d trust God as He leads us to make bold, risk-taking commitments, and experience the most generous giving we’ve ever known. Together, let’s give the the funds to accomplish Breakthrough.

TWO YEAR BREAKTHROUGH GOAL

One Fund Giving

During this initiative, we’re inviting every person in our church family to participate in a totally new, unified way of giving, called One Fund. This means ALL of our giving goes to ONE fund that will resource current ministries, missions, and savings for the next two years, while also resourcing our 3 key Breakthrough steps for our church family, our city, and region. So even if this is the first time you’ve given, you can celebrate being a part of the breakthrough God is calling us all to as a church.

How will you respond?

1. Pray Fervently

Pray that God would multiply our efforts to make disciples and honor Jesus. Pray that He would accelerate the vision and bring about so much more Region Reborn than we could ask or imagine.

2. Commit Fully

Help us reach our goal of 100% engagement for Breakthrough. Stand side by side with your Gathering family, encourage others, and commit to do what God asks.

3. Grow Intentionally

Attend every Sunday from October 9 through December 4. Engage in the Breakthrough study with your Neighborhood Gathering or Alpha group. Discover all you can about God’s heart and will for you and your resources.

4. Give Generously

Ask God to show you what it looks like to give in a way that changes you. Take whatever steps are necessary to see it though.
